The cost of providing prevention training is about £7 for each child: the cost of intervention where serious abuse has occurred is thousands.
Our annual running cost is roughly equivalent to the cost of intervention and investigation in a single serious case of child abuse.
Initial core funding for Devon CAP came through the South and West Devon Joint Consultative Committee. This money was allocated to CAP as part of their strategic plan to shift resources from intervention to prevention.
We have already secured the funds necessary to run to the end of the 2010/2011 academic year. To continue our good work we need your help.
